What are the benefits of an Engine Decarbonisation?
Using our specialist engine decarbonising machines, we are able to eliminate the carbon build-up inside petrol and diesel engines that occur over the vehicle’s lifetime.
The carbon deposits have a detrimental effect on the vehicle's engine causing reduced MPG and power, poor running and increased emissions.
In conjunction with a full engine and global diagnostic report we are able to restore any lost power caused by carbon build-up and help reduce exhaust emissions.
During the cleaning process a chemical reaction causes the carbon deposits to dissolve. This helps improve engine efficiency together with exhaust emissions, in addition to restoring lost performance and fuel economy.
By carrying out engine decarbonising, we are able to maintain the long-term reliability of our customers' vehicles, which in turn helps reduce the likelihood of costly repair bills.

Petrol engines
Over time a build-up of carbon deposits can cause a loss of performance and efficiency in a petrol engine. This can increase fuel consumption, reduce performance and increase exhaust emissions.
After carrying out a full Global Diagnostic scan and report on the vehicle, we begin the cleaning process and another report is carried out after the engine has been cleaned.
Post cleaning, the difference is noticeable immediately, resulting in smoother running and improved performance.
Diesel engines
Diesel vehicles fitted with a Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) will benefit from the reduction in the amount of soot stored inside the DPF. Diesel vehicles fitted with a DPF can have the soot content completely eliminated during the cleaning process. This not only improves engine efficiency but it also improves the long-term reliability of the engine.
If your vehicle has a blocked or saturated DPF we can also carry out a deep cleanse to restore the DPF back to its original specification. This can potentially save you thousands of pounds and keep your vehicle compliant with emission regulations.
By keeping your vehicle on the road and out of the workshop, the reduction in VOR (Vehicle Off Road) time also means savings for private and fleet drivers.
