Thatcham S5 and S7 Vehicle Tracker Systems

Of two main categories of car insurance trackers approved by Thatcham, S5 and S7, S7 trackers are the cheapest approved tracking devices. S5 Trackers are the similar to the S7 versions, but have an extra Automatic Driver Recognition System. ADR recognises the authorised driver and any attempt to move the vehicle without ADR will result in an alert being generated.

 

We strongly suggest that customers check with their insurance companies and confirm which category is required for their vehicle.  If a S5 tracker has been stipulated, you are required to fit one. Your insurance policy could be invalidated in the event of theft.
